What are Fancy Stoles?

Stole vs. scarf

How to Style a Fancy Stole

With Formal Wear

It's important for working women to present a polished yet fashionable image. If you choose to wear formal attire to work, make sure you present a tailored appearance. You are free to use all your imagination. This is where stoles can help. The best and easiest way to wear a stole in a formal setting is to fold it neatly around your neck and let the front ends hang in two parallel lines. Then, depending on your preference, you can leave it hanging or tie it in a simple single or double knot.

European Knot 

Make a European knot or bow to give your stole or scarf another sophisticated and fashionable style. They are incredibly easy to make and can be worn with both business and casual attire. They look great with shirts and jeans, but you can also look cool in a skirt and t-shirt.  

The Braid Look

You can also use your stole or scarf in a braided way. Fold the scarf or stole it in half. Pull the loose ends of the scarf through the loop after wrapping it around your neck. Don't make it too tight. Tuck the loose ends back in after carefully twisting the loop. Continue to twist the loop with one hand, pulling the ends through until you run out of fabric. This look is sure to turn some heads.

The Classic Loop

Another very simple and traditional way to wear your scarf is to tie it around your neck. Many women, or even men, do this when wearing scarves or mufflers. It looks excellent and fashionable in both informal and non-formal contexts. To start, simply fold the scarf in half. Then tuck both ends in at the front and place it at the back of your neck. You're done when you thread the other ends through the loop.

Twisted Drape

With your stole, you can also try the twisted drape style. Begin by folding your stole in half, then secure both ends with tiny knots. The ring-shaped stole should now be worn around the neck with the knotted side facing back. Flip the stole forward after snugly twisting it at the rear.
