Cob Led

COB is an abbreviation for chip-on-board. The technology has just ventured into the market for some years now. As a result, when compared to other standards, we might consider it relatively young. COB LEDs are made up of numerous LED chips that have been clustered and bonded together to form a single module. A module typically has nine (or more) chips. As you can see, this may result in more intense illumination, with a big chunk capable of producing up to 250 lumens (at 20mA). Furthermore, they look like a single light instead of several different lights.

Benefits of COB LED Lights

1. Greater adaptability

Because of the tiny size of the diodes and the homogeneous weight distribution, these strips are notably more flexible than traditional flexible strips. Because these diodes are relatively very small and closely placed, no two points on the strip can be termed the same. This homogeneity makes it simple to set up the strips without planning around a 5050 SMD LED protruding where it is not demanded. This added flexibility will enable them to fix into tight spaces and around corners in your application.

2. No LED lighting dot even without aluminium profiles

One of the most common concerns about standard LED strips is the glowing dot that runs along the length of the ribbon. A lighting dot is a bright spot in the strip that shows where the light is coming from. Light is more gentle and appealing when it appears as a smooth light source rather than a jumble of lighting dots.

3. More stable, with fewer issues

The COB strip is the chip directly connected to the FPCB and does not include gold wire. The gold wire within the LED beads causes issues in traditional SMD LED strips. Because the gold wire is too tiny, it is easily damaged, resulting in the chip not being lighted.

4. A large emission angle

The luminous angle of a typical SMD light strip is 120 degrees, but the bright angle of a COB light strip is 180 degrees.
