What is a Burnt Lime and what is its formula?
Burnt Lime is also known as calcium oxide and quicklime. It has a white color and stringent material which contains alkali that remains hard at room temperature. Its formula is CaO. It finds its applications in medicinal and agricultural products like insecticides.

When Burnt Lime is added to water, it causes a vigorous reaction producing calcium hydroxide or Ca(OH)2, also called slaked lime plus, energy. With this reaction, white color of quicklime is vanished and large amount of heat is released.

Burnt Lime comes in both powder and stones form as well in different packaging sizes varying from 5 kg to 50 kg.
