Austenitic Stainless Steel

Martensitic stainless steel

Martensitic stainless steel (410 and 420), contains minimal nickel, chromium content of 11%, and a higher carbon content (0.1%-1.2%). They have the following characteristics: magnetic, hardened through heating and high strength with moderate resistance to rusting or corrosion.

Duplex stainless steels

Duplex stainless steels (2205 and 2507) have balanced austenitic/ferritic structures. They have chromium (22% - 25%), nickel (4% - 6%) and molybdenum (3% - 5%) as their alloying elements.
