Biopropylene Glycol inter-dissolves with water, ether and many other nitrogen or oxygenous aliphatic compounds with low molecular weight as well as with dimethyl ketone and chloroform, but partially inter-dissolves with non-polarity substances such as halogenated hydrocarbon. It is also the solvent of some medicine, spices, water-solubility dyes and colophony and coal tar. The freezing point of propylene glycol with water decreases obviously with the increase of propylene glycol content.

Usage: 1, 2-propylene glycol is mainly used for producing important raw materials raw materials of unsaturated polyester resin, alkyd resin plasticizer, ink additive, hydraulic liquid and release agent. It may also replace glycerol as humidification agent (humidifier), food flavoring agent and medicine solvent etc.
