*About Silage:*

Silage is a grass that has been preserved to feed the animals like buffalo, cow, sheep, goat etc.


The grasses are cut and then fermented to keep as much of the nutrients (such as sugars and proteins) as possible. The fermentation is carried out by microscopic organisms living in the grass.

*Raw material for making silage:*

Green fodder maize,sorghum,Bajra,Sugar cane tops and Oat. By using "Silag" we have successfully increased 10 to 20% of milking for one time milking.

*What makes it special:*

Due to lactic acid in silage, it is easily digestible to animals, so energy required for digestion is used for other purposes like milk production etc.

*Note:*
Can be stored for 18 months to 2 year if the bales are not open. If open then should be consumed with 7 to 10 days

Crod protein = 7 to 10%
ADF = 25 TO 35%
NDF = 35 to 50%
Starch = 25 to 35%
