Cavemen:

Gift-giving is among the earliest human behaviours that may be traced back to the emergence of our species before civilizations. Present-giving was a common way for prehistoric people to show one another their love and gratitude, and tribal leaders would commend someone for their efforts by giving them a gift. Gifts were more basic back then, of course; people would give items like animal teeth, tree bark, or unusual-looking stones that might be turned into bracelets or other accessories.

Ancient Egypt:

One of the first civilizations to embrace the custom of giving gifts was ancient Egypt. The pharaohs received gifts on their crowning day, which was regarded as their "birth" day since it was thought that on this day, rather than on their real birthdays, they had become Gods and begun a new existence. When they constructed enormous pyramids for their afterlife, they also received presents. At the time, gifts to royalty included jewels, grains of flowers, vegetables, and sometimes even cash presented as dowry.

The Ancient Greeks:

They continued the custom of commemorating a God's "birth." Birthdays are a universally observed holiday celebrated in many cultures, and it's difficult to envision a birthday celebration today without presents. This unusual way of expressing oneself is said to have sprung from religious practises in ancient Greece, when people thought that the birthday person would be haunted by bad spirits. As a result, on their birthday, others would visit that person and offer them presents and well wishes in order to protect them and fend off the evil spirits. Because of the same reason, they also would light candles; by extinguishing the candle and expressing a request, one may communicate with the gods. Therefore, we may thank the Greeks for our fantastic contemporary birthday celebrations.

The Middle Ages:

During this period, people sent gifts to express their commitment to the ruling class and to encourage political and religious favours. On New Year's Day, presents were also given and received, and at the time, food offerings were treasured as symbols of strength and generosity. Because they were costly and customisable, books or manuscripts were often given as precious presents in those days. They were presented as gifts between family members, between rulers, as donations to monasteries and churches, and even as engagement presents. There were also a number of other romantic presents that now may seem a bit strange, such as love songs written by males and sung in front of women, individualised clothing, washbasins, and stitching hair strands into your soul mate's clothing.

Modern Day:

Even if putting your own hair into your partner's attire now may not be met with goofy looks and welcoming arms as it was in the past, gift-giving costumes and customs have endured and developed through time. Every culture has distinctive, intriguing holidays and gift-giving customs that may be quite unlike your own. You may find some of these instances strange, yet they all demonstrate how people can be kind, loving, and appreciative of one another.

Here are the different types of boxes that are used for gift packing:

Box & lid:

This is the most common and economical kind of gift box. It comprises a base with a completely detachable full or half-depth lid. We are able to create products with lids that are of any depth and size.

Clamshell box:

This rigid box has a three-sided hinged cover and resembles a gift box. But instead of being at the top of the base, the hinge is at the bottom. It is often used for media presentations and is typically manufactured from a single piece of board.

Shoulder box:

The base and lid of this particular box design fit flat against one another thanks to an interior shoulder. They may be built with an exposed or concealed shoulder. The shoulder is concealed and cannot be seen until the present box is opened. Any height exposed shoulder is highly effective when it is a contrasting colour.

Hinged box:

The lid of this box is hinged on one side, unlike the box and lid style. Three-sided hinged lid gift boxes and four-sided hinged lid gift boxes are the two variants.

Rigid slipcase:

For a book, document, or CD/DVD set, rigid slipcases are utilised as a premium protective cover.

Book-style box:

As its name implies, the book-style presentation box is made to resemble a book. It has a flip- or double-flip lid and a number of clasps or magnets for closing.
