Mak Kote - In application where heating of Bitumen at site is not possible, and where handicaps of wet surfaces have to be overcome, waterproofing can be done by using Makkote. The application of this product forms a tough surface within 24 hours (depending upon climatic conditions) and renders adequate protection against moisture and accidental damage. Because of its plasticity, it can resist cracking caused by movements or temperature changes. It is an ideal and economic method of providing long term protection to exposed insulation besides preventing steam losses. Mak Kote give a coating, which when set, is impermeable to water and remains unaffected by attacks of industrial fumes, salty atmosphere etc. it resists low temperature cracking and also does not crack under the influence of strong sunlight. It is an emulsion of selected grade of Bitumen with Fibre and Fillers
