ALUMINUM FLASHING TAPE DESCRIPTION Aluminum Tape is a strong self-adhesive flashing Tape comprising an aluminum foil and a bitumen rubber adhesive. The adhesive from a strong waterproof seal by the simple action of pressing the tape into place by hand. SUREFACE PREPARATION All surfaces must be dry, sound and free from oil, grease and dust. Remove all loose material by scraper or wire brush. Porous surfaces, such as concrete of brick should be primed by brush using Bitumen primer (SSC BITU BOND) and allowed to dry.APPLICATION METHOD:Cut the tape to the required length, peel back approximately 5 cm. Of release carrier and place tape into position. Continue removing the release carrier whilst firmly placing the tape to avoid unnecessary creasing. Ensure intimate contact and that no air is trapped.
