Precision Investment Csting Process: A Summary
Wax patterns are created by injecting wax into the metal dies.
The next process consists of building a ceramic shell mold around the wax patterns.
Then the ceramic shell mold is de-waxed and casting of alloy into the shell mold is done.
Finally, the shell mold is hammered or chemically dissolved, thus releasing the casting. To remove signs of casting process, the casting is also cleaned.
