Eye Shield

Here are the ways to wear the eye shield:

• Before touching the eyes, a wearer should always wash the hands thoroughly with soap and running water.

• One piece of paper tape measuring between 6 and 8 inches in length. Paper tape can be purchased from any pharmacy today.

• Position the eye shield so that it covers both eyes and rests against the bridge of the nose.

• Install the shield in its proper position, making sure that the tape is positioned across the top of the shield. It is recommended that the place the tape so that it goes from the center of the forehead to the middle of the ear.

Here are the tips to choose:

• Sometimes labels can be confusing. Sources disagree on whether or not eye protection effectively blocks UV 400 rays in addition to UVA and UVB.

• Take the eye shield to an optical store or an ophthalmologist's clinic so they can be professionally adjusted. The majority are equipped with a UV light meter that can determine how well sunglasses filter UV rays.

• Consider purchasing a bigger shield or shield with a wraparound frame, both of which assist in reducing the amount of ultraviolet light that enters the eye from the side.

• To provide suitable protection for the eyes, eye shields do not need to cost an excessive amount of money.

There are three types of Eye shield:

• Safety Glasses: Polycarbonate or propionate plastic lenses with side shields are used in the construction of safety glasses. They're built to deflect large, physical particles like wood chips, which can cause serious damage to the eyes if they get in.

• Googles: Protecting one's eyes from harmful vapors, mists, fumes, and other particles is the primary function of non-vented goggles. All exposed flesh should be covered, but only the eyes are required to be protected from the actual danger.

• Face Shield: A face shield is not adequate eye protection on its own. Under the shield, they wear goggles to protect the full face from any substances that might have gotten through.
