Door Handles 

Some types of door handles include: iron door handles, ceramic door handles, fancy door handles, stainless steel door handles, cabinet door handles, chrome door handles, wooden door handles, car door handles, glass door handles, zinc door handles and door pull handles.  There are four different types of door handles: keyed entrance, privacy, passage and dummy knobs.

The door handle has only a lever handle or knob which operates this latch. When you push the handle down rotates the spindle, operating the tubular latch mechanism inside the door, it allows you to open the door. When door handle is used on interior doors it does not require to be locked.

Just because door knobs do not naturally give as much grip as door handles, people prefer the latter. Moreover, door knobs need to be set back further into the door than handles to avoid the user catching there knuckles on the door frame. For children, door knobs can be problematic than the door handle.

It is called latch. In fact, latch is the mechanism that slides into the narrowness of the door and retracts or protrudes when the door knob is turned. The latch keeps the door closed and when the knob is turned allows the door to open. A lever handle carries the similar function as a door knob though it has a different appearance.
