Cupro nickel tubes are made from a combination of copper alloy and nickel alloy. The two common standards of cupro nickel are: C70600 (90% Cu-10% Ni) and C71500 (70% Cu-30% Ni). Because of its special composition, it is proven to be highly resistive against seawater, brine water, salts, organic compounds, diluted non-oxidizing acids, etc.

Cupro nickel tubes provide high resistant to corrosion and stress cracking, and high tensile strength, ductility and fabricability. Therefore, these tubes usually pass through cold working metalworking procedure for enhancement of strength and hardness. Also, they go through fabrication procedures like heat treatment, annealing, welding, forming, machining, etc.
