Insat Based Distress Alert Transmitter

It is a part of satellite based disaster management system. It is used to transmit emergency conditions and position location to central HUB station via UHF transponder of INSAT. The INSAT based Distress Alert Transmitter can be easily installed in any vehicles like boats. In case of any emergency, like fire or medical or boat sinking or any other emergency, user just need to switch on the DAT unit and required to select a message by pressing the corresponding switch on the DAT unit, for the type of emergency help requirement. The Distress Alert Transmitter unit will combine the message with the position of the vehicle obtained through GPS, and transmit the same to the central HUB station. The DAT unit will transmit the message every minute for first five minutes after pressing the switch and then every five minutes till it is switched off manually or until the battery life lasts.
