AC LED lights have found extensive usage as street light, flood lights, revolving light, and AC LED panel lights. Today rechargeable AC-DC inverter LED bulbs are in great demand in places where you witness frequent power outage.

Unlike normal LEDs, AC LED lights can be connected directly to normal power supplies and do not require a driver. Since AC LED lights can operate directly from the normal power supply and work on voltages from as low as 12V to up to 240V they are very popular in both interior and exterior lightning. In addition, modern AC LED lights use a high performance electronic transformer which is capable of a very high intensity signal that eliminates the possibility of flickering and ensures that the light is continuous.

Types of AC LED Lights:

In a broader context, AC LED lights available in the market can be categorized into three types: low-voltage AC LEDs, high-voltage direct AC LEDs and high-voltage rectified AC LEDs.

Low-voltage AC LEDs comprise of smaller fixtures used in private gardens or small architectural light units, which operate between 12V to 24V. Meanwhile, High-voltage AC LEDs operate between 15V to 55V and are used in lighting fixtures ranging from retail outlets to alleys, roadways or parking lots. On the other hand, high-voltage rectified AC units are specially designed to stop the current from running too high during peak usage, thus reducing damage to the LEDs.

Today, AC LED lights have matured to the point where they are a viable alternative to conventional LEDs for a wide array of applications with both low and high-voltage types readily available in the markets. Having addressed the earlier concerns of flicker and cost, these lights are here to stay for a quite some time now.
