In Screw compressor, the atmospheric air enters through inlet of 3 micron suction filter in to the screw compressor. In A-1 Screw compressor, a pair of two unequal screws rotors of special curved profiles rotates at very high speed in opposite to each others direction placed in an oil sump to compress the air to generate the required pressure.

The oil air separator effectively allows only air to pass through it and oil returns back to sump store of Screw compressor. Here, In Rotary Screw compressor, no direct metal to metal contact is an added feature for very low noise level.
