Q. What is the process of an aluminium melting furnace?
Answer
An aluminium melting furnace is heated between 660 -1000°C at which aluminium starts melting. This induction furnace consists of a crucible, surrounded by a water-cooled coil of copper wire through which AC current flows. The prompted eddy current’s flow through resistance of the bulk aluminium causes it to melt quickly.
