Non Ferrous Metal Castings is a mechanical process, which involves pouring of liquid metal into a mold, containing a hollow cavity of coveted shape. It is then allowed to cool and solidify, gaining the requisite shape. This solidified part is named as casting, which is chucked out and broken out from the mold in order to complete the process. Metal Casting is usually done to make complex shapes, which is not possible by traditional methods. A Casting is the end-product in the form of metal, which is produced by pouring liquid metal into a metal die or sand mold. This die or mold compressive two parts, and when combined together, it develops a cavity. In this cavity the molten metal is poured. After that, the die or mold develops the external surface of the casting. A core is being placed in the mold cavity if an internal cavity is needed in the casting metal.
