Motor Control Resistors

Starting/Speed control resistor for starting or speed control of AC or DC Motors can be designed at specified starting torque or to bring the initial inrush current to an acceptable value by limiting it. This enables the operator to determine the motor speed required for the specific application. The resistor made from Stainless steel AISI-304, AISI -410 or AISI 430 or FeCrAl-AISI-406 grade; is used mainly for cranes. It's rating can be 2, 5, 10 minutes, continuous or intermittent. For this resistor, IPSS-1-10-002-82 with amendment no.1 and BS 587 standards are followed. The degree of protection for enclosure is confirmed by following standards- IS 2147 & IS 12063 of 1987. The paint shade is in line with IS 5 standard. Both routine and type tests, like visual, dimensional, temperature rise test, etc., are conducted in-house.
