Foot Monitor

Foot Monitor Model PFT-1 manufactured by Para Electronics is developed to detect the nuclear contamination on the shoes. This unit is designed around 4 nos of thin walled GM tubes (typ1 719) for detection of beta/gamma contamination on the bottom of the footware. A pulse from each GM tube is counted independently before all the counts are added together to determine if the aggregate counts are below the set level. Counting time, Alarm level are user settable. Audio/Visual alarms are provided when the contamination level crosses the set limit. LCD menu display indicates the status of the contamination and is used for diagnostic purposes also. The detection of person's standing is done by the pulses from GM tubes.
