What is Erlonat Tablet?

Both non-small cell lung cancer and pancreatic cancer are treated with Erlonat 150 Tablet.

Erlonat 150 Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach or one hour before or two hours after a meal. You should continue to take it for as long as your doctor prescribes. Your needs and response to treatment will determine the length of your treatment. You must take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Side effects from not taking it properly or taking too much can be very serious. It may take a few weeks or months before you notice or experience any benefits, but don't stop until your doctor tells you to.

The most common side effects of this medicine are tiredness, rash, nausea and vomiting. If this happens to you, drink plenty of fluids or tell your doctor. It may cause severe diarrhoea. You may be more sensitive to the sun; use sunscreen or wear protective clothing when outdoors. It is best to tell your doctor or health care professional if you have trouble breathing, mouth sores, or changes in your vision. Your doctor or health care professional may recommend that you have your liver function checked regularly while you are taking this medicine.

You should not become pregnant or breastfeed while taking this medicine. To prevent pregnancy, men and women should use a reliable method of contraception while receiving this medicine. It is recommended that you stop smoking while you are taking this medicine as it may reduce the effectiveness of the medicine. If you need to take an antacid or other medicine, wait at least 2 hours before taking it or any other medicine.

Uses of Erlonat Tablet

This drug, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, works by stopping the development of cancer cells and destroying them. Patients who are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients in this medicine or who are receiving platinum-based chemotherapy are often not prescribed this medicine. People taking proton pump inhibitors should also avoid taking this medicine.
