The pulses received from proximity switches are converted to suitable form with isolation. These converters find use in process control industries for signal isolation. I / P frequency range depend on the speed of the equipment. These pulses are processed at frequency converter and suitable output generally 4-20 mA is produced. The O/P is isolated to provide further isolation of field signal so that instrument / PLC side is isolated from field side.
