DESIGN PRINCIPLE:
'BS' Make Flareless Bite type pipe Fittings embody a unique three-piece design comprising a body, special case-hardened ferrule and nut. Unlike ordinary compression joints, when the nut is screwed on to the body , the ferrule grips in position and perceptibly "bites" into the pipe surface to provide a positive seal. When fully tightened, the case hardened ferrule is bowed slightly in the middle and acts as a spring. This spring action of the ferrule maintains a continuous tension between the body and nut, and prevents the nut from loosening under vibration and strain.

This unique function of the ferrule is the result of careful selection of the right materials, precision machining and case-hardening to give it a hard exterior and soft core. The ferrule thus not only "bites" into the pipe readily and superficially without causing surface cracks, but also maintains its spring action for repeated use without loss of strength or sealing qualities.

The fitting can then be dismantled and reassembled as often as necessary for maintenance purposes, without weakening purposes, without weakening the joint or reducing the effectiveness of the seal in any way.

Compression Fittings are available from 3mm to 50 mm size in various materials like M.S, Brass & stainless steel to suit M.S. copper & SS tubing. The fittings are suitable for high pressure upto 500 bar & temp upto 500 C.
