• Evidence of Purchase: The best bet is to ask the vendor for a copy of the original receipt, which they can provide in either electronic or paper form.

• IMEI Number: Make that the device's specs match those on the official receipt by having the seller access Settings > General > About and displaying the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number.

• Serial Number: To verify the iPhone's serial number, have the seller go to Settings > General > About.

• Genuineness in iPhone’s parts: If the device has been repaired before, be sure the repairs were done by an Apple-certified technician by inquiring with the seller.
