Oval Dining Table 

The dining space provided by an oval table is equivalent to that of a rectangular table, although it lacks the latter's sharp corners. Because of this quality, it may fit in with a wide variety of decors and layouts. The oval shape, in general, produces a much gentler appearance, provides a more casual atmosphere, and does not sacrifice any usable floor area. A user can go for a classic look with the laid-back appeal of ovals. Although there are a wide variety of options for shape and size, it nevertheless conforms to the topography of the surrounding area. Conversations between persons sitting on either side of an oval table are typically easy and natural. In addition, oval tables may accommodate a wide range of design preferences without sacrificing functionality.

Rectangular dining tables, the most prevalent shape, are perfect for hosting large gatherings of people. With its linear design, there is plenty of space for everyone to move around the table. If needing  to accommodate more than four people at the dining table, a rectangle table is a fantastic option because it can be extended with an extra leaf. A rectangular table's width should be somewhere between 36 and 42 inches. Though thinner rectangles can work well in smaller spaces, it's important to keep in mind that if the width of the table is less than 36 inches, it may be difficult to accommodate place settings on both sides and food.
