These alloys are all austenitic chromium nickel steel with corrosion and heat resistance superior to Type 304. 310 / 310S are designed for high temperature service due to excellent high temperature properties.
(It resists oxidation in continuous service at temperature up to 1150. Generally speaking, starting temperature of environment is 800, 900-310 series stainless steel is a better choice.
