Callidai Motor Works comes in the line of the pioneer and self made Industrialist Late K R Sundaram lyer well known in those days first as "Enfield" Sundaram lyer. Coming in this KRS family line now is one of his Grand Sons, Bhargav Sundaram, who has embraced what is now popularly called Social Entrepreneurship, with the motto Make Physically Challenged Persons more mobile inside and outside the house! The result of this concept was the birth of Wheelchair Trust of India and Callidai Motor Works in 1998.These entities which boast of a predominantly physically challenged work-force commit themselves to alleviate the pain of such people through Technology. All these have been possible due to focused and single minded devotion of the couple - Bhargav Sundaram, a post Graduate in Business Management and His lawyer wife Priya Bhargav, who is a double Graduate.
