These taper lock are playing a very important role in the field of key less locking of power transmission equipments such as gear, flywheel, pulley cam etc.

This mechanical element uses the longitudinal motion of the screw which is done by tightening mechanically converts into the radial pressure through the tapered surfaces. This radial pressure causes the material to expand as a result it locks the power transmission members internally as well as externally.
