The Thamukkam Ground, located at Tamil Nadu Madurai. Historically this ground was developed by Viswanatha Nayak, first king of the Madurai Nayak Dynasty, and Ariyanatha Mudaliyar and used for hosting royal entertainments, sports events and for display of martial arts.
