Upcoming Events
The 8th Edition of BSX 2024, organised in association with ISRO, Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACE) and NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) is scheduled from September 2024 at BIEC in Bengaluru, India. The Exhibition will have participants from over 100 companies/organisations from around 15 countries, showcasing advanced technologies and products for the space sector, in an exclusive hall.
ISRO will be putting up a large Pavilion, along with its various Centres in India, at the exhibition to highlight Indiaâs achievements in the space sector and future business opportunities for the private sector in this area. Officials from various ISRO Centres across India, will be available during the three days event at BSX 2024 to interact with stakeholders exploring future business partnerships with ISRO.
Besides the exclusive Exhibition, the three-day event will have a concurrent International Conference, with the theme, 'Nurturing the NewSpace in India' and would provide an ideal platform to Indian and International space agencies and companies in this sector, to showcase their strength & capabilities in the space arena; network and explore the opportunities of partnerships.

High Performance computing (HPC) is imperative in solving a wide range of scientific, industrial, and societal challenges in the fields of defence, space, healthcare, oil exploration, weather forecasting, climate change, education etc.
HPC is a key factor for the digitisation of industry and their innovation and competitiveness. Convergence of HPC and emerging technologies such as AI can unleash a new era which allows industry to scale computationally to build deep learning algorithms that can take advantage of high volumes of data.
Efforts have been directed by Indian government towards attaining global competitiveness and self-reliance in HPC. India as of June 2020, is ranked 23rd in the world, when ranking by number of supercomputer systems around the globe. Param Siddhi, the HPC-AI supercomputer was established under National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) in Nov 2020.
While India currently assembles their supercomputers in the country, around 90% components import across the world. To make India a world leader in HPC, enhancing Indiaâs capability in addressing grand challenge of national relevance and building self- reliance in the strategic area of supercomputing technology, there is need for India to achieve self-sufficiency by manufacturing critical components indigenously at large; empowering scientists and researchers for conducting cutting-edge research and with state-of-the-art supercomputing facilities.
