Working of the fin road

The Fin rod is a standard steel sheathed tubular heater with edge wound steel fins furnace copper brazed to the sheath. The fin is applied at 5.1 mm pitch , with an outside diameter of 30 mm which increases by 6 times the radiant surface of the heater , thus permitting high kW rating per unit length at relatively low surface watt density. The brazing of the fin assures maximum and rapid heat transfer, and prevents fin vibration at high air velocities.
