Raw Material Description: Derived from the sub mucosal membrane of bovine small intestine(Colagen) of Sheep and goat

Material Color: Brown.

Features:

Packed in a liquid sterilant to reduce memory & increase pliability.
Rigidly controlled spinning & drying to ensure higher tensile strength.
Chromiun salts increase persistence in the body to delay absorption
Uniform diameter and smooth surface allows the surgeon to easily knot the suture and have the knots remain tight for optimum wound closure and healing.
Plain catgut sutures start to loose tensile strength from 12-14 days and 18-21 days from chromic catgut sutures.



Applications: Used in general closure, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology and gastrointestinal tract surgery.

Caution : Avoid using in places where prolonged periods of tissue approximation is needed
