Our organization provides p-Benzoquinone, which is also known as p-benzoquinone iupac or cyclohexa-2, 5-diene-1, 4-dion. This yellow to green crystalline solid has a characteristic pungent odor. It can undergo various addition reaction and substitution. By treatment with reducing agents, it is converted to hydroquinone.

Applications:
Para-Benzoquinone has a considerable vapour pressure and readily sublimes and condences to form bright yellow needles.
Para-Benzoquinone acts as a cross linking agent . It has been shown to increase the moisture''s resistance of nylon fiber thermoplastic and to reduce the flammability of nylon fiber. When used in nylon fiber to press clothes, it improves the heat resistance and strength of the fabric. para-Benzoquinone can act as a staining agent for proteins and polymides, which tends to limit its usefulness in some applications.
P-Benzoquinone is useful in stabilizing unsaturated polyester resins during processing, shipment, and storage in either uncatalyzed or percatalyzed form. It is also used as a chemical intermediate for ethofumesate, a herbicide.
