Experimental Ice Plant

This unit consists of a hermetically sealed compressor with air cooled condenser. A capillary or expansion valves are next to condensers followed by medium temperature evaporators. Electrical energy supplied to the compressor can be measured by energy meter. The evaporator is immersed in the brine solution tank.

To calculate the co-efficient of performance of unit.

To determine the refrigerating capacity and tonnage of unit.

ICE making capacity of unit.

Cooling Coil : Water Immersed Type.
Agitator With Motor : Motor as per IS
ICE Cans : G.I. Sheets Ice Cans
Primary Refrigerant : Freon 134 A & 404 Refrigerant Gas
Second Refrigerant : Brine Solution
Measuring Control : Digital Rotameter Measure the flow liquid
refrigerant gas Freon 134 A & 404 Brine density meter, suction pressure gauge for low pressure measurement. Discharge pressure gauge for high pressure measurement. Drier, Gas charging valve, Expansions devices Capillary tube type.
Electrical Control Panel : Main Switch, Voltmeter Digital type, Amp.
