Conventional Weld Cladding System

Conventional Weld Cladding System are used throughout the weld cladding industry for welding a range of well head valves.
It is characterised by the welding turntable and precision cross slides bolted to the end of a column & boom. This configuration is still used for welding small valves a larger valve bodies are better welded using Rotary Head type systems.

The Multi CLAD Controller integrates all control functions, peripheral equipment and welding activity. Originally developed for simple cold wire TIG weld cladding, the Multi CLAD is the seventh generation of controller that has evolved over 25 years.
It boasts a user friendly colour Touch screen operator interface with uncomplicated use of computing technology which caters for operators with no knowledge of computer systems.
A choice of welding single and twin arc processes is available with metal deposit rates that are between 50-100% faster than any other weld cladding system on the market.

Each of the above is designed to reduce total manufacturing time by minimising operator intervention of the cycle and maximising arcing time. As an example, cross bores and a seat pocketsa are welded using PECa s a auto Patcha technique that is more than 10 times faster than traditional a start-stopa methods.
Weld metal deposit rates up to 7.5kg/hr have been achieved using the TwinArc MIG process, whilst our TwinArc Hotwire TIG can weld inside 6a bores at up to 5kg/hr.
