India Everywhere – Hannover Trade Fair

Isn’t it great news that the Hannover Trade Fair, the world's biggest industrial and technology show, generated business worth around $1.3 billion for India, which was the partner country this year!

We had more then 350 Indian companies showcasing their vast range of products and an estimated 35,000 visitors came to the India pavilion. The response was so good that we were always on our toes with interested visitors coming in every minute. I would even go a step further to rate the fair as the best I have ever exhibited in the recent past.

All other Indian exhibitors I interacted later after the conclusion of the fair opined that the response they got was indeed satisfying and also added that the quality of buyers coming were top of the line companies.

The presence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Commerce Minister Kamal Nath and Kapil Sibal did boost the morale of the exhibitors.

And behind the scene, there were other players who helped tremendously to make this fair a total success. Take for instance, Orbit Tours and Travels who had taken about 700 people. They took good care of each person and ensured that we only concentrated on our business.

This ‘India Everywhere’ campaign, a brand image promotion project will now campaign in Tokyo, coinciding with the Indo-Japan Business Summit in conjunction with the World Economic Forum's East Asia Summit in June 2006. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Hi Bikky,
I agree with your comments. I feel that if India and China come together, it can become one of the most powerful economic blocs. But we need to act fast before other nations take advantage of this.
