TURBINE CASINGS :

casing and multi casing turbinel). Casing of high pressure and medium
pressure parts are cast of special alloy steel, whereas low pressure
casings are usually of a welded structure. Choice of material depends
on temperature and pressure of admission steam.
Generally the followings grades of material are used for casing.
Casting : 17cr. Ma V55
17cr. Ma V511
Welded structure : ST 37
ST 37.3
ST 52.3
