Herbal medicine has its own history and is well known among masses especially in the Indian subcontinent and generally around the globe since centuries not known. Hartee is an herbal formulation which is free from adverse effects (side effects) and hence it is safe.

Hartee is herbal medicine helpful for Coronary artery disease specifically and heart problems generally.  It can be used for the treatment of Coronary artery disease (Heart blockages) and to reduce the symptoms associated with heart problems such as palpitation, tachycardia, breathlessness while walking, running and going upstairs, chest pain, pain in left hand or shoulder i.e. angina pectoris etc. 

What is a Coronary artery disease?
Coronary artery disease (CAD; also atherosclerotic heart disease) is the result of the accumulation of atheromatous plaques [this plaque is made up of fat , cholestrol etc.] within the walls of the coronary arteries that supply the myocardium (the muscle of the heart) with oxygen and nutrients, the filling up of the plaque in the lumen(free space in the artery for the flow of nutrients, oxygen etc.) of artery causes narrowing of lumen of the artery by decreasing its diameter. It is sometimes also called coronary heart disease (CHD).

Some of these atheromatous plaques may rupture and (along with the activation of the blood clotting system) start limiting blood flow to the heart muscle. The disease is the most common cause of sudden death, and is also the most common reason for death of men and women over 20 years of age.

An individual may develop a rupture of an atheromatous plaque at any stage of the spectrum of coronary artery disease. The acute rupture of a plaque may lead to an acute myocardial infarction (heart attack).  

Symptoms

• Symptoms may be very noticeable, but sometimes you can have the disease and not have any symptoms.
• Chest pain or discomfort (angina) is the most common symptom. You feel this pain when the heart is not getting enough blood or oxygen. How bad the pain is varies from person to person.
• It may feel heavy or like someone is squeezing your heart. You feel it under your breast bone (sternum), but also in your neck, arms, stomach, or upper back.
• The pain usually occurs with activity or emotion, and goes away with rest or by taking medicine Other symptoms include shortness of breath and fatigue with activity (exertion).
• Breathlessness while climbing the stairs.
• Heaviness of chest
• Sweating and breathlessness while walking slowly.
• Increase in chest pain, breathlessness and sweating while walking
• Patient feels that his/her heart is beating in his/her throat.
• Heaviness of chest is felt after smoking.
• Breathlessness, heaviness of chest is felt while or after singing or blowing trumpet or flute.
• Any of the above symptoms may be felt after shouting slogans loudly or any mild exertion such as running dancing and playing outdoors.

Women, elderly people, and people with diabetes are more likely to have symptoms other than chest pain, such as

• Fatigue
• Shortness of breath
• Weakness

Tests
Many tests help diagnose CAD. Usually, your doctor will order more than one test before making a diagnosis.

Tests may include

• Coronary angiography/arteriography an invasive test that evaluates the heart arteries under x-ray
• CT angiography a noninvasive way to perform coronary angiography
• 2D Echocardiogram
• Electrocardiogram (ECG)
• Electron-beam computed tomography (EBCT) to look for calcium in the lining of the arteries -- the more calcium, the higher your chance for CHD
• Exercise stress test
• Heart CT scan
• Magnetic resonance angiography
• Nuclear stress test

Risk factors

The direct risk factors for the development of CAD include

• Hypercholesterolemia (increased cholesterol)
• Hypertension (high blood pressure specifically systolic seems to be most significant in this regard)
• Hyperglycemia (due to diabetes mellitus or otherwise)

Significant, but indirect risk factors include

• Lack of exercise
• Consumption of alcohol
• Stress
• Diet rich in fats
• Diet low in antioxidants
• Obesity
• Men over 60; Women over 65

Treatment

Treatment depends on your symptoms and how severe the disease is. Doctor may give you one or more medicines to treat CAD ( Coronary artery disease), including

• Medicines which help to prevent blood clots from forming in your arteries such as Hartee.
• Medicines such as Hartee  to lower blood pressure due to atherosclerosis and protect your heart and kidneys.
• Medicines to improve blood flow to the heart such as Hartee.
• Medicines such as Hartee to lower cholesterol.
• Medicines such as Hartee to help subside chest pain or chest pain shifting to shoulder (Angina).
• The one month package of Hartee comes with a combo pack of three i.e.
• Hartee - M, Hartee - L and Hartee - D.
• Hartee-M and Hartee-L are tablets whereas Hartee-D is a pack of Teabags.
• One tablet Hartee-M is taken in the morning  before breakfast with water.
• One tablet Hartee-L is taken before lunch with water.
• One cup of tea made from a teabag of Hartee-D is taken before dinner or at bed time. (Dip 1 teabag of Hartee - D in a cup of boiled water)
• After taking this medicine for a period of complete one month, test such as 2D Echocardiogram should be done.  Improvement will be seen.
• After taking this medicine for a period of 3 to 4 months the symptoms of CAD will be reduced almost to a zero level and tests show normal blood flow to the heart.
