Its lamps are divided into different zones, which can be operated independently or in any combination. Its adjustable optical sensor switch can be positioned on either side of the flash, allowing the Flasher to match the rotation direction of the press. The sensor doesn't require a signal from the press, making it easy to move the unit between printheads or presses without time-consuming setup. Flash-cure duration can be controlled by a digital timer which automatically shuts off the flash cure unit when the substrate reaches an operator-set temperature. This helps to prevent over-flashing, which is a major cause of dye migration and synthetic garment shrinkage.
