Lignite Coal By Pacific Energy & Resources

We are engaged in exporting, importing and supplying of lignite Coal in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India. It is a kind of soft brown fuel, which has the characteristics that put it somewhere between coal and peat. It has a high moisture content of 66%, and a carbon content of around 25-35%. The lignite coal has 6% to 19% of ash content, compared with 6% to 12% for bituminous coal. In its natural form, lignite is porous, light in weight and contains a high percentage of moisture and volatile matters as compared to Fixed Carbon. Because of this, its transportation, over long distances is uneconomical. Therefore, this fuel is ideally suitable for running Lignite based power generation plant located close to pit head.
