This high velocity fluid entrains with itself, the induced Air when passing through the mixing chamber. This mixture of motive fluid and Air at high velocity enters the diffuser or the Ventury, which is so shaped that it gradually converts the velocity energy to pressure energy and thus discharges them to a higher pressure than the suction pressure of the Air but lower than the initial motivating fluid pressure.
