PHARMACOKINETICS OFTHIOCOLCHICOSIDE: Thiocolchicoside absorption is rapidly after oral administration.Half-life of Thiocolchicoside is approximately 5 to 6 hours.Average Peak Plasma Concentration of Thiocolchicoside is 49 mg/ml.Thiocolchicoside is mainly excreted by feces (79%) and 20% excreted by urine.

SIDE EFFECTS OF THIOCOLCHICOSIDE: The most common side effect of Thiocolchicoside is allergy and vasovagal reactions.Other side effects are liver injury, pancreatitis, seizures, blood cell disorders,yellowing of skin and eyes, Photosensitivity, Dry mouth, Headache etc.
Thiocolchicoside can often cause skin disorders like rhabdomyolysis, and reproductive disorders. In experimental animals, Thiocolchicoside is teratogenic.Sometimes Thiocolchicoside damages chromosomes.
