| Description |
1) Ethylene propylone Diene Rubber (EPDM) Based Insulating Tape.
2) Self-Amalgamating.
3) Can be used on extruded dielectric power cables through 33kv, underground or overhead, indoor or outdoor.
Direction for Use :
1) Prepare Cable in usual manner.
2) Remove separator from tape and apply half-lapped, stretching tape 100% as is being applied. A 100% stretch is obtained when the tape is stretched enough to reduce its width to approximately two-thirds of the original width.
Primary insulation and jacketing can be one using EPDM Tape very easily in making straight through joints and bifurcated joints. The void-free insulation yields moisture proof jacketing. EPDM Tape can be used to terminate cables and is recommended in building stress cones. During nesting season & otherwise, power interruptions occur due to bird faults which can be eliminated by using EPDM Tape.
