Launching Instructions:
Carefully open out the lantern and expand it to its full size by lightly lifting the top of the paper lantern.
Feed the cord loops through the hole of the wax fuel cell. Split the 2 cord loops, press them down to both sides so each loop is securing each side of the cell. Ensure that the wax fuel cell is completely attached to the bamboo base.
Open the lantern out and hold it upright, away from the ground. Light the wax fuel cell in the corners to ensure an even burn. Be careful not to let the flame touch the paper. Do not light the lantern indoors.
The wax fuel cell should be left to burn until the lantern has filled sufficiently with hot air. Meanwhile, one adult should be holding onto the wire base of the lantern wanting to pull out of your hands of the paper lantern. When it is ready to fly, you will feel the lantern wanting to pull out of your hands (approx 30-40 seconds). Now carefully release the lantern with both hands.
