| Description |
We offer Flash Dryer details are as under.
Application :
The Flash drying plants is used for variety of wet cake, which is converted into dry powder. It is continuous drying plant used for bulk powder production
Basic Principle :
1. Wet Cake free of lumps is fed along with hot air to the suction of disintegrator by screw conveyor
2. This mixture of wet cake and hot air moves together through drying cum conveying duct
3. The time taken by mixture to travel through drying duct is called residence time of drying
4. During this residence time, the wet powder looses its moisture to the hot air and gets converted into dry powder. Hot air as it absorbs moisture, its temperature gets reduced and the absolute humidity (i.e. moisture content in air) increases.
5. The Hot Air and powder mixture is fed from drying duct to the cyclone where powder further gets dried to reach its desired dryness. The powder is separated from hot air in cyclone and discharged by rotary valve fitted at cyclone bottom.
6. The air as it leaves from cyclone separator still has traces of powder particles. This air is further passed through a bag filter.
In a bag house exhaust air is filtered in fabric filter bags. Dust laden bags are cleaned during normal running cycle, itself, by compressed air pluse jet cleaning. This is done by compressed air actuated solenoid valve through an electronic sequential timer
7. Air from bag house is sucked by an I. D. fan. The F.D. fan at entry point of air circuit and I. D. fan at exhaust point operate the air handling system onPush-pull principle which avoids extreme pressures(either positive or vacuum) in the drying duct or disintegrator cyclone separator, bag house
The air exhausted by I. D. fan is thus totally clean and pollution free, is let out of flash dryer house by an exhaust duct
