We offer Xanthan Gum For Paint & Pigments with the following product application:-
Xanthan Gum in Paints
* Used in Water based silicate paints
* Also used in thick stucco paints
* Used in liquid pigment preparations (ie 50% iron oxide suspensions)
* Can also be used to stabilise emulsions in low solvent paints
The role of Xanthan Gum in Paints
* Prevents pigment separation
* Inhibits skinning
* Prevent slumping/streaking
* Improves levelness/hiding
* Inhibits solvent separation
Improves sprayability/curtain coating but can lead to less spatter resistance (splashing) and stretching (brush marks!)
