* Use level typically 0.1-0.5%
* Xanthan imparts cling and prolonged surface contact time. Less streaking.
* Stable with time to acid and alkali
* Stable to up to 15% non-ionic/anionic surfactants
* Viscosity is constant over global storage conditions
* Easily dispenses / Suspends dirt
Liquid Cleaners (cont.) - advantages of xanthan
* Main product types xanthan is used in:
* WC Duck type toilet cleaners.
* Also used in Oven cleaners, Ceramic hob cleaners
* New major application in slow release toilet rim cleaners - typically uses 1 - 3% Transparent Xanthan
