We offer Mirtazapine 7.5/15/30mg Tabs. with the following product specification:-
An antidepressant with unique pharmacodynamic profile:-
* A tetracyclic piperazine-azepine antidepressant structurally different from conventional antidepressants and pharmacologically classified as NaSSA with unique pharacodynamics
* A useful addition to the antidepressant
- with major depression and symptoms of anxiety/agitation or anxiety/somatization or complaints of insomnia
- who do not adequately respond to or are intolerant to TCAs and SSRIs
- who experience sexual side effects from other antidepressants.
A good choice depressed patients with significant anxiety or insomnia as it demonstrates anxiolytic and sleep-improving effect, which may be related to its pharmacodynamic properties
Consistently superior to placebo, and equivalent in efficacy to the tricyclic antidepressants amitriptyline, doxepin and clomipramine, but with an improved tolerability profile.
