A detachable light guide cable has been adopted on the CYF-5 and CYF-5A to improve handling of the cystoscope and simplify cleaning and disinfection. The CYF-5 and CYF-5A may also be used in combination with a miniature light source allowing portability and therefore more versatility for the user. To further minimize patient invasion and improve insertion, a new bullet style tip has been developed.
