The Canton Fair is China’s largest trade fair held biannually every spring and autumn attracting several hundreds of buyers from across the globe. This Fair is a hub for Chinese manufacturers dealing in a wide array of products/services. The first Canton Fair was inaugurated in the spring of 1957 that marked the beginning of a new era in the history of trade fairs. The 100th edition of Autumn Canton Fair will be held in two phases—Phase I from 15th to 20th October 2006 and Phase II from 25th to 30th October 2006 at Pazhou & Liuhua Complex, Guangzhou, China.

The Canton Fair allows only Chinese manufacturers to exhibit their products/services, leaving a large number of interested Asian exhibitors dreaming for a piece of pie. Understanding the needs of the exhibitors of other Asian countries, the Asian Manufacturers Trade Organization in collaboration with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) are organising for the very first time Asian Export Commodities Fair parallel to the Canton Fair, thus providing a global platform to Asian manufacturers.

The Asian Export Commodities Fair will display the same product category in the same date at a convention centre next to the venue of the Canton Fair. This Fair is bound to attract a large number of visitors who will be flocking the Canton Fair. With Global Exhibitions & Conference (GEC) (the largest exhibition representative in India that facilitates international exhibitions and trade shows), representing the Asian Manufacturers Trade Organization for promoting the Asian Export Commodities Fair among the potential Indian industries and Orbit Tours and Travels providing exclusive packages to the prospective interested Indian exhibitors and buyers, the show is bound to be a huge success.

The Asian Export Commodities Fair will be held at the grand Flower City International Exhibition Centre, Guangzhou, China in two phases—Phase I from 16th to 19th October 2006 and Phase II from 26th to 29th October 2006. This Fair will showcase a diverse range of products like Electrical Appliances, Electronics & IT Products; Lamps & Lighting Fixtures; Tools, Machinery & Equipment; Small Vehicle & Spare parts; Hardware; Building Material; Chemical Products & Mineral Products; Vehicles & Construction Machinery; Textiles & Garments; Medicines & Health Products; Footwear & Headgear; Artex; Furs; leather products, etc. in the first phase. The second phase will display consumer products and gifts like Stone & Iron Products; Furniture; Houseware, Kitchenware & Tableware; Cases & Bags; Food Stuffs & Tea; Gifts, Decorations, Toys; stationery; Horticulture Products, etc.

The Asian Export Commodities Fair will cater to the growing need for the exhibitors from 11 countries that will be divided into 11 national pavilions from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore.
